    I client to gateway VPN connection, using Softremotelt and I am able to negotiate a VPN connection.

    However, when I try to connect to an XP Pro workstation using Network Neighborhood, It tells me that I am unathorized. I can ping and get replies.

    What is the problem? Why can I not connect to the workstation?

    Me(SoftremoreLT) <-------> RV082<--- -->XP Pro Workstation.

    What does NBTSTAT -A ipaddress of xp box from a command prompt give you?

    Does the XP box have a firewall installed, including XP's builtin one?

    of course your unauthorized silly, you need to put in the username/password.
    XP doesnt allow anyone with a "physical network connection" to access it without permission.

    Easiest thing to do is just map a drive to it but click "use different user name" while doing it. Enter whatever user/pass is on the XP box and your good to go
