Since feww days, my WAG lose the DSL connexion. The status report that is is connected, but the internet access is very very slow or not possible.

A power on reset solve the problem.

I've an dsl max subcription to my isp (tiscali) and it seem that druning the night, the wag lose the PPPOA synchronisation, or something like that.

Does somebody ever see this bofore ???

my old dlink 700 used to do this on my BT dsl connection, i simply got a replacement unit under warranty which solved the problem (it came with other problems, but fixed that one!)

    new firmware may help.

also may help to change the MTU for the ISP, i think BT's is 1458, tiscali's is probably different but you should be able to get the info from the website.

Additionally, look at getting a static IP, set it for "reconnect every 30 seconds" and try to find a dynamic dns provider.

I found that, when the DSL link become corrupted, I can restore the dsl connection by unplugging the phone cable et connect it again.
It look like some time the WAG modem found that the available line speed is greater than the real line speed. That could explain that the dsl drop.

Before, my connection was limited to 512K, and I've got no problem. This appears when my ISP enable full banwidth on my line.

I've alos found that in this case I can obtain a better spped with my old usb sagem modem (eagle chipset).
