    Hello to the list,
I am new on this forum and my name is Enzo.
    I hope in an help.
I own an linksys Wireless-G ADLS Home Gateway model Wag200,
    firmware version 1.00.09.
Since 've bought it, i've never used the wireless.Today having an portable PC with
wireles embedded, i have tried to connect it to the router, but cannot
get success. I've noticed that the Wireless led on the router is always off and
either during the power up looptest, it does not light.
I've tried to access in the setup of the Router using Internet Explorer, and
have set in the WIRELESS menu at the BASIC WIRELESS SETTINGS submenu,
    the followings parameters:

    Wireless Network Mode: MIXED
    Wireless Network Name (SSID): LINKSYS
    Wireless Channel: 13-2.4272 GHZ
    Wireless SSID Broadcast: Enable

But it still does want to work.
The Wireless Led on the router stasy always off.
Please does the router have a problem or am i missing something?
Has the Wireless to be switched on or off with a particular command?
    If yes which one?
Any help will be really appreciated.
    Thanks in advance
    Enzo.

From your last image, it appears that you are transmitting on channel 1 in mixed mode(both 802.11B and 802.11G) with no encryption. Your SSID is ik8ov. From the laptop you are using, if you are running Windows XP do you have the service zero configuration on? The wireless LED should light up so you ADSL router may be defective.

    Yes i use Windows XP
How to check the service zero configuration if it is on or off?
Is there a possibility to fix the modem?
    Thanks

Left click "start button", left click "setting" icon, left click "control panel" , left click "adminstrative tools", left click "services" and scroll down to 'wireless zero configuration" and see if it is started. If you are using a program to control the wireless NICs it will be turned off, if not start it. If you go to your ntework connections an left click your wireless , you should see the "View Wireless Networks", see if you can see the network with you SSID. If not your WAG200G is not broadcasting. I would contact Linksys if you modem is broken and still is under warantee. The cost of repair maybe prohibitive and the unit should be replaced, otherwise you can use a wireless router as a access point depending on the cost of the modem or the price of a router.
