    Hello,

    I'm bought a WAG200G Annex A today.
By now it is solid and works well.
    However i experience a problem:
The file transfer between two computers in the connected to the wireless LAN are very, very, very slow!! Four times slowest than my WRT54GL v1.1.
Do you have any ideias, or i must return it ?
    Thanks in advance
    Best Regards

    upgrade to the latest firmware
upgrade to the latest drivers of your wif card
install latest patchs, sp .... onto your system

check settings of your wifi card (wireless G enabled? burst mode ...)
    check router settings ...

    Thanks for the reply.
    The firmware is the lastest!
My wifi cards are correctly set up because with the WRT54 is works like a rock!
    Best regards

    Thanks again for your reply.
I live in a place without neigbours ;)
I leave my wireless totally open, without any security!
I also try to chage some values (advised by linksys technical support), but the problem presists!:(:(:(
    Regards

Download filezilla ftp server and client .

1 - load default factory on the WAG (write your setting to redo them later)
it should reboot, and be clean, with no particular settings.
2 - do not set anything on the WAG (you will not need dsl for this test)
By default DHCP is working so all your PC will grap an IP
3 - power on every pc
3a - deactivate firewall, antivirus.. on each PCs
3b - on PC1 install filezilla ftp server
file transfer protocol is a good way to do test.
3c - on PC2 upload a large file (iso, or divx) with filezilla client on PC1

write down the metric here. is it better?

    Hello,

Thanks for your support.... But i already solve my problem!....

    My WAG200 is a router i had to replace a returned A**S....
Both, the WAG and the A**S are very bad!
    A**S:
-> Not stabe Wireless, if a move my laptop (just 1cm) the wireless drops!!!!
    -> Nice modem

    WAG200:
    -> Garbage.... Like the WAG54G!!!
->Wireless just go up to 36Mbps
-> Wireless takes 12 Hours to copy 9Gb of data. Even FON**A do 3 hours for the same files!
-> Modem very bad, drops the connection every hour !

Now i'm a very hapy owner of a B****N router! Fast, stable with a very good range! Modem very, very, very, very fast and stable. Solid as a rock!!! Just needs a firmware upgrade to solve a simple issue in the wireless led (blinks withou traffic)

I will never buy anything from Linksys. Is my second one (the first have been the WAG54G) and both are bad, very bad!!!

    Thanks again for your support.
    Best Regards
