After my posting titled "WAG200g and WAP54g" and after much grief and swearing, I finally tossed out the WAG200g and replaced it with a piece of junk tp-link that actually cooperates perfectly with my WAP54g, offers excellent range and a very stable connection to my adsl line. What can I say, it's the first Linksys product that has let me down completely.

Can you toss the WAG200g in the direction of woytekm or others working on enhancing the firmware with a 3rd party offering?

Don't get me wrong, I appreciate everything people like woytekm are doing for our benefit. Without a doubt, fooling around with these devices would be a lot less fun without the tweaks everyone offers. It's just that the main problem I was facing with the wag200g was it's incapacity to fuction with another linksys (wap54g) device connecting to it as a client. All devices with the exception of my personal router are linksys devices but having to revert to a chinese built (tp-link) device to solve my problem including the cooperation of the router with the wap54g was just to much for me.

    Best wishes to all.

and where was your old wag200g built? Probably more important where the firmware was designed - its a curious mix of Ti and Broadcom code blended by CyberTan I believe.

I don't see many good reviews of Linksys ADSL products, but if the Ethernet routers were restricted to Linksys firmware they wouldn't be so popular.
