WAG325N VPN Tunnel with XP

I want to connect to a WAG325N VPN Tunnel from an XP laptop that has a dynamic IP address (connects to the Internet via 3G card).

I discovered the link about "Configuring IPSec between a Microsoft Windows 2000 or XP PC and a Linksys VPN Router":

However this seems to require you to activate the rule in order (thereby temporarily disabling normal Internet access) to establish the tunnel and also have a static IP address on the client.

I do not believe that the WAG325N supports QuickVPN. Can anyone please shed some offer some advice on the easiest way to connect to the WAG325N using an IPSec VPN tunnel (as opposed to VPN passthrough) using XP? I tried a regular Windows XP VPN connection and set it for L2TP IPSEC but it just times out.

I've also looked into using a WRV200 but the reviews I've read on it are scathing.

    Thanks
    Paul
