    Hi all!
I've been using my Linksys router for about a year now. All is going well with it. I'm looking to increase my security and I'm currently using WPA-PSK and have the latest beta firmware installed. Does my router support WPA2-PSK? A lot of neighbours have recently started using wireless connections and I would like to use the best possible security for my wireless connection.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Unfortunatley the answer is no. It is possible with a firmware upgrade but firmware support for this router has been not quite as satisfactory as I would have first hoped.

It sounds like you've got this security lark cracked but as always for best security use MAC filtering, ensure you have an ultra strong key (see here, use Maximum security option) and ensure your SSID is not at default.

If your using any form of WPA you are going to be fine, the only way someone will get it is if you use a psk that is really simple and they get lucky. Personally i think you are going to run into far more problems with congested channels with all your neighbors then you are with rogue devices on your network. Do yourself a favor, scan for AP's that your wireless card can see, see what channels are use (probably default for most of your neighbors) and switch to a different channel......

How do I know what channel the others are using? Is there a specific free program I can use?

very big issue since when I bought WAG354G on Linksys site it was stated that it supported WPA2, but after I found that it didn't support it...Linksys told me that they could do a swap after bugging them a lot, but the I left and stayed with it..
