I've brand new WAG354G, everything is Ok except the dynDNS feature. I put and double check the setting. The wag display "strange dyndns server answer". The same setting works fine with a WAG54G V2

The WAG354 firmware version is 1.1.03

    Hello Booly,

As you have the two Wag could you tell me which one do you prefer ?

I've bought the 354 for my mother, the design is nice, wireless coverage is the same more or less. But the WAG54G V2 firmware is more stable

My WAG54G V2 is Ok. I never had to reset it for weeks ( 1 laptop wifi + 1 pc wifi + pc (web + ftp server) wired )

    The 354 price was good

Allright, I've probably misunderstood what you said somewhere or I'm making a confusion with someone else...

Although the topic has strayed from the original question, I found this on DYNDNS but I dont know if its been resolved in recent firmware upgrades or even related at all to your issue.

My Linksys router says "DDNS Server Is Currently Closed"

whenever I try to set it up to update my hostname - what gives?
Linksys chose to ignore our published specifications when writing the update software that they built into their routers. As such, their products became broken as soon as we made a change to our underlying infrastructure, which would have been transparent had they followed our guidelines. You should disable the update functionality of your router, complain to Linksys, and use a software client until such a time that Linksys chooses to fix their product.

I had the same problem with DynDNS.

Linksys have sent me a new firmware v1.01.05 which has sorted it out. I have been running the new firmware for quite a few weeks now and no problems.
