Im currently having a problem with my wag354g

I currently have access rights etc enabled for users and this works fine with when QOS is not enabled. However, when QOS is enabled the router cant get a date and time and access rights then dont work properly as the router defaults to 1970 and 0000 as the time. When QOS is disabled it all works fine again and the router gets its time and date and access rights are restored.

Any ideas how i can get round this as i need QOS enabled as 4 pc's are connected to router and gaming takes a hit when internet is being used. With QOS on gaming isnt an issue thats why i want to try and fix the problem.

Im using the latest firmware and was hoping this would have fixed the problem.

i can only think that this could be a bug in software or your WAG354G may need to be reset.

tried resetting the router to factory defaults and still the same.
Where does it get its date and time...could it be a port number thats blocked when qos is started.

time and date afaik comes from your ISP via the WAN port. unless QOS is somehow blocking the NTP port 123 (UDP)

try adding that to QoS as high priority perhaps?

what firmware version do you have?

adding port to QOS had no affect. Also adding to port forwarding has no affect.

did you port forward UDP 123 to the routers IP address?
