Hello i need help with router wag354g.

I had this router connected, about a year ago, to a ADSL 1 line, after that i got it connected to a ADSL 2+.

Ive recently chaged house and needed to reconnect it to a ADSL 1 line again, but this time the router cant sync.

When its trying to sinc. it will always say the it is trying to sinc. on ADSL 2+, but the service is of a 1Mbps adsl 1 line.

Ive already reset it, reconfigured it... and still no working.

I dnt know if i have a wag354g v1.0 or 2.0, how can i check this?? so i can upgade the firmware.

the router is for analog line, NOT ISDN(digital). is this annex A or B??

    Can any1 help??

Also, ive seen, now, from the forum, that a this is a buggy router, any good firmware upgrade i can update to??

    thank you

    Try this.

Your an Annex A model for sure, can you tell us what version of the router firmware you are using? This appears in the top right hand side of the web interface.

    If you are using 1.01.03, 1.01.05, 1.01.09 or 1.01.11 you have a V1 router.

If you are using any firmware in the 1.01.5x format then it's a V2.

In either case I recommend the custom Neptune354 firmware available for both versions from this website : http://cyberstorm.altervista.org/.

As for your sync problem have you tried a hard reset by pushing the little reset button on the router? This will clear all your settings but may help to get you sync'd.

    Good luck and God bless.

Hello, thank you for your help.

I now have everything ok with the router.

I have a 1.0 version, i checked with your instructions.

Ive upgraded to the linksys latest version and now there is a "DSL Modulation" option that ive set to multimode so it is now working correcty with GMDT.

Ill try to upgrade into that firmware u posted as soon as i have a chance..

    Thank you, cheers.
