Hey all ive just registered to the forum becouse i stumbled upon this page when i first got my WAG54G dsl router becouse i seem to have a little trouble with WLAN on the router

I just got this router and my laptop seems to not like it, well i do connect to the router and get execlent signal strenght everywhere around the house but i usually stay in the same room as the router for work, but when i go cmd > ipconfig /all i get following:
    Code:
    Ethernet adapter Wireless Network Connection:

as u can see the def gw,dhcp and dns server is set to *.2 but should be *.1
this happens when i have my laptop set to optain ip automatically but when i set the ip my self i can connect the internet with no problem at all.

I really dont want to have to set the ip up when i use my router at home couse i do have 2-3 other access points at work/friends that i can use with optain automatically.

Settings i got on my router that i remember atm that might be the trouble?

    Basic:
    Wireless Network Mode - mixed

    Security:
    Security Mode - disabled

    Network Access:
    Allow all

    Advanced Wireless:
    nothing changed from factory settings.

    Thanks in advance.

you need to setup dns through the dhcp handshake protocols. Once you have accomplished this set beacon transmission to 50 jigawots. If stability is gained then you can proceed to process your WAG54G in a plastic recycling bin and have a positive effect on the environment.

    BIN IT..

    My advice!! :)

Why O Why Linksys released WAG54G v1 (& possibly v2 but i never had one)I will never know. I had one I had to use wired. I am disgraced at Linksys. They're reputation b4 the WAG was soo good to.

    DISSAPOINTED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

O & sorry for going SLIGHTLY off topic!!!
