    Hello Linksys and forum users.

I had an unpleasent action recently with my DSL Wireless router WAG54GS-EU. I left it working (as I always do) through the night. But that night there was a tough storm with lightnings. When i woke up in the morning it seemed router is dead. Actually i had one TV receiver, one HP printer, DECT phone also damaged by this storm with lightnings. TV receiver was repaired by swapping fuse. DECT phone and HP laser printer remain dead.

I wonder what happened to WAG54GS-EU... is it completely blown up and I may throw it into trash? I opened the cover and I couldn't see any fuses to swap nor i could see any burned parts....

When i plug in the AC adaptor no led is lightning - can i try similar AC adaptor with similar currency? Maybe AC went dead.

Is there any way to find out if WAG54GS-EU can be repaired with not much effort, because i lost my guarantee papers, and professional service costs the same as used routers on market.

Any help would be appreciated guys (and girls if there are some here)

    Thanks
    Tom

if you are lucky enough the AC adapter reiceived all the shock...
If you have a multimeter you can check the output voltage...if not just go out and buy one with the same output voltage, and the same or bigger current. Also be sure to match the current AC/DC...

    goood luck
