I have upgraded my LINKSYS WAG54G V2 with the AnnexA ETSI v1.00.47_004 firmware.
Everything went perfect and it seems that my internet connection is more stable and a little faster.

    My question:
Why can I not see the SNMP logs in a viewer. If I use any SNMP log viewer but there is no data.
I suspect that I have to use a ‘SNMP Version 3†log viewer. But I could not find any.

    Also is there a setting
    Trap Management
    TRAP TO:

Is this setting to view the SNMP traps on a browser ?
If it is, it is not working. The logs on the linksys device it self works fine. But it is not updating real-time as a viewer would.

Could someone explain why I can not watch my SNMP traps with a standard SNMP v1 or v2 viewer?
Or is it the firmware that has a glitch?
Below is a image of the setting in the firmware. Maybe it helps.

I also have the WAG54Gv2. I don't have a direct answer to your questions, but I'll post my logging experiences here. I'm currently using Wallwatcher to recieve log entries (via the logviewer option under the reporting menu). This works well, but you need to have a PC running at all times since I can't get the GetLog functionality working. In Wallwatcher there is an option to collect bandwidth information via snmp that works (at least it passes the test in the wallwatcher options screen, I never use it). So SNMP works, but I would also like to know what the snmp v3 'trap management' is all about.
