Was busy updating my UK WAG54Gv2 tonight to the new firmware (.27) and of all the times, we get a power cut. Off it goes, powers up and shows lights, but cannot connect to it at all anymore, assume the firmware is now corrupt.

I can ping it, but not connect...... is there anyway to salvage it??

1°) Link your computer to your linksys with an ethernet (crossed ?) cable.
2°) Try to ping the default IP address :, normaly it will work fine.
3°) Go to ftp://ftp.linksys.com/international/firmware/ and download the right firmware for you router
WARNING, it's necessary to download this file in binary mode.
4°) Find a TFTP server that work with password
5°) Start this tftp Server, set it up (host name : and
Select the right firmware file. In the password field, put de default linksys password : admin

    Then press "send" button.
