    Hi,

I'm having trouble with a WAG54GX2 and speed. I've got a ADSL2+ connection 20mbit/1mbit but when i am using WAG54GX2 as a modem i only get about 6mbit/760 kbit. It seems it gets the wrong idea from my ISP. My settings is RFC 1483 Bridged, LLC, 8 VPI and 35 VCI. Have anyone got a solution? I have tried 2 brand new units and they have both the error. My firmware is V1.00.02.

    Kind Regards,

    sveist

There is nothing wrong with the ADSL2+ implementation in the WAG54GX2. If you really do have a 20Mbps plan, then the DSLAM is not setup properly. The way DSL CPE gets configured for data rates is the DSLAM configures it. Of course, you still have to configure the correct VCI/VPI, encapsulation, and authentication to the BRAS.

thanks for the answer ....... when using a Billion BIPAC 5102SM modem i get the full speed of my line , so that's strange ...... I don't think i get my ISP to configure the DSLAM so my linksys will work :\

    Kind regards,

    Svein

The plannes speed doesn't alway reflect the reality.

What is the attenuation of your phone line ?
