    Guys,

Firstly i would like to say a cracking website very informative and helpfull

I have recently purchased a WAG54GX2 it is loaded with firmware 1.00.01 and is running sweet as a nut, UNTIL, we try and setup a vpn tunnel. I am currently off work after knee surgery and would like to get back to work quickly, regular Microsoft PPTP VPN Client, keeps dropping connections every 20mins or so??? We use IP phones and work and would be better to connect using the VPN Tunnel facility. We setup a tunnel into work and we can get authenicated BUT the routing seems to be screwed, we are unable to ping passed the router on both sides, but my boss ran some software on his linux box and he can see the ping TX coming in and the RX going out but its blocked somewhere.

I have turned on PPTP, IPSEC and L2TP passthroughs, i have turned off "block anonomous internet requests"

    Hope someone can assist us.

    VPN doesn't work with WAG54GX2-1.00.01 !
A new firmware 1.00.06b is available, but ask your Linksys customer support for details...

I am having same problem even without using VPN... when I download and push the line to max (ADSL 256kbps = download max to ~30KB/sec), the modem disconnect almost every 15 min and loses the DSL signal!
I tried several FW versions: 1.00.01 - 1.00.03 & latest 1.00.09! yet no solution (sometimes the modem just work fine for while).
