Anyone know if it is possible to write a script which would send a WOL magic packet to a device, in case that device is trying to be accessed?

I have found the following script:

It is quite close to what I want to accomplish, but has a significant flaw:
it is trying to ping some defined devices in the LAN, and if the device is pingable it wakes up an other device. This behaviour is not good for me, some of my devices are pingable even when they are off. And also, if a device is on, it doesn't mean it is needed to wake my NAS up.

What I am trying to accomplish is to wake up the NAS only in the case, some device is actually trying to reach it.

Do you have an idea if this can be done within tomato?
