    Hi,

the lastest Version of Wallwatcher supports eMail Notification when the Router resets or is reconnecting.
Has anyone got this feature working with our lovely WRT54G?
The eMail Test works...but there is no eMail while the Router is reconnecting.

    Any Idea?

What steps did you take to get Wall Watcher working? For me, its not logging all inbound the way I like.

(with Linksys BEFSR41 wired router, doing a Shields-Up test at GRC.COM, wall watcher logs all inbound probes on EACH port being tested. With the WRT54G and Satori-4.0 v2.07.1.7sv WW only shows about 5 messages total of accesses of ports 0 and 1.)

    Hi,

got this from dslreports.com, from the Wallwatcher Author:

    1. connect to the Router with TELNET or PuTty or some utility that will let you use a command-line interface.

    2. logon to the router

    3. start logging by entering the line below ("lanipaddress" is the LAN address of the computer running wallwatcher, such as 192.168.1.101):

    syslogd -R lanipaddress

    4. start KLOGD by typing:
    klogd

    5. tell the Firmware to log additional kinds of events:

iptables -R INPUT 1 -j logdrop -m state --state INVALID
    iptables -R INPUT 6 -j logdrop

    6. logoff the router

And this works great for me.

I did that too.. :( Here is my problem...

When using my Linksys BEFSR41 and doing a Shield's UP! test from grc.com, Wall Watcher logs a hit on EACH PORT probed (0 thru 1056 if I choose all ports) with my WAN IP address in Local IP addrss column, and the port # in the Local Port column.

When I put the WRT54G in place and do the same test, even if I choose All Ports, I get only 6 hits logged. While the WAN IP is listed in the Local IP column, but the port numbers are either 0 or 1.
