Currently running the latest public release of Sveasoft's Talisman.

All my routers are WRT54G v2's. What versions of dd-wrt can be run on these routers? Sorry if this has been asked and answered before but I did not see the info, even on the dd-wrt home page? The sooner I get a stable firmware the better!

That's my question and now my rant..... I have been a Sveasoft user for quite some time. WDS is very important to me and they were the first that I knew about that had offered this feature. I also paid $20 to get the files and support. Nothing worse than paying for "open source" firmware. My routers were flawless for a long time until I read about the new public release. of Talisman. I had to have it/try it, etc... My network has never been the same. Using wpa I have found it hit or miss with logging in. Drives me nuts. I can be 10ft away from one of the routers and still not be able to gain access. File transfers take almost 2.5 times longer and I can't get support without paying to join the "open source" forums??? NO! I have turned off all security because this seems to be the problem. I could run wep but in this day and age why??? My 7yr old could hack it.

I have used an older version of the firmware (dd-wrt) and realized that it was a ported version of sveasoft's alchemy. Had no problems with it but I was still a member of sveasoft's pay to play forum and I had no reason to permanently switch. Now I do!!!

There, I've said it and feel much better for it.

if you want stable then i suggest Tomato firmware. this is one of the most stable firmware builds I have ever used along with HyperWRT Thibor.

More stable??? I beg to differ. After struggling half the day to get the network up I finally switched back because my nerves became unstable. Always the same problems with trying security of any kind. Too bad.............................................................

From what I've experienced, dd-wrt runs a stable WDS link for me and have had no issues for a year. The last time I ran talisman for WDS I couldn't get it to link with any security.

WDS w/security is a big plus. I also need to know if there is any version limitations on the dd-wrt firmware. In other words, will the current release run on a V2 linksys router?

In the meantime I have scrubbed everything and started Talizman anew. It is, for the meantime, working w/wpa2.
