    Hi there,

I have a WAP200 AP that has been working for almost a year with a POE adapter.

In the last couple of weeks the Wireless LAN disconnections started to be too frequent, so I decided to upgrade the firmware to version 1.0.20.

After the upgrade everything seems to be fine, but about one hour later the Web based GUI was inaccessible (HTTP Bad Request Error over a red background), but there were no disconnections. A few hours later, the disconnections started to happen, so I did push the reset button in order to reset to factory settings and since that moment the device is broadcasting the SSID "linksys-g", I can connect to the network as this is now an unsecured access point and the DHCP server in my network is resolving IP address, but I can not get into the WAP200's web GUI and I can't even detect the device's IP address even with the default settings nor an sniffer!!!.

Does somebody knows wth is happening here?

    Thanks in advance.

Is the DHCP server on the AP working? do you get a default gateway?
Try the reset again, sometimes it needs a second kick to get it working...

    Hi there,

After a 3 times of 10-seconds-on 10-seconds-off 10-seconds-on reset button pushing, the WAP200 came back to life. Unfortunately it has presented again the GUI's HTTP Bad Request red screen after a couple of hours later and the same connection drops.

I guess It could be a bug of the newest firmware (1.0.22) as I have got it using the https admin mode.

I'll do some research today. In the meanwhile my Chinese-no-brand-that-came-inside-a-cornflakes-box backup access point is working flawlessly. What happen there Linksys' QA?
