Does anyone know if a WAP54G can be used as a client side device like a WET11 or WET54G?

Please advise. I'd rather know ahead of time before laying out the cash.

    Thanks.

    Hi!

The WAP54G can work as a wireless client adaptor in a limited way. It can only work if the "master" AP or router is a Linksys WAP54G or WRT54G.

    With regards,

Hi! Do you know if it works with a WAG54G ?
I was planning to connect my Dreambox (Satellite Receiver) to a WAP54G for it to communicate with my WAG54G.

    Thanks,

    SkyLux

It may work, but only if the firmware of the WAG54G supports WDS. The latest version of the firmware supports WDS and works with the WRE54G range expander. Version 1.02.7 is supposed to have WDS support.
