friend of mine owns a WAG200G and recently bought a WAP54G hoping to be able to extend the existing network.

The WAG200G is located on the 3rd floor and i installed the WAP54G on the 1st floor to be able to access the wireless network from any rooms at this level.

I tried configuring the WAP54G as repeater and entered the routers MAC adress, but this didn't work out like i hoped.

The acces point didn't connect to wirelessly to my router and i'm still unable to access the internet. I checked if the wireless network of my router could be received at the acces points location and it is accessible from that spot. so that can't be the problem.

Does anyone know how to make this work?

The WAP54G as only designed to be used as a repeater for the WRT54G and WAP54G.
