I am having a problem with my WAP54G. I have had it for around a year and it has worked fine but now my computer can't find it. I first noticed it when it simply didn't work (the laptop couldn't find wi-fi). I then tried to reinstall the software (using the newest version off of your web site) and it didn't find it. I then even tried using Internet Explorer to go directly to the IP which had always worked in the past but it no longer worked. I have as well powered the box on and off (for over 10 seconds) as well as holding down the reset button for over 10 seconds until I see the box do a hard reset. None of this works. Is it possibly this box has actually gone bad? Is there a warranty on this product?

try connecting to it's default IP via the etherenet port, see if that works, if you can't connect to the default IP via ethernet (make sure your on the same subnet as the routers default ip) than it could be something failed in it, make sure you held the reset switch down for a full 30 seconds to make sure it reset to factory defaults...

After doing a hard reset, connect your WAP54G to a wired NIC and type in the default IP-Address of the WAP54G, which is You should get a responseand it should prompt you for the default password of "admin". You can reconfigure it at this point. The wanrantee is for three years and you have to supply a copy of your proof of purchase. You have to contact Linksys and get a RMA.

I tried everything here with no luck. I am emailing Linksys to see if they'll offer me another unit in exchange for this one since it seems that it's not working.
