I have a WAP54G connected to a Netopia Router. The signal is weak and drops often on the 2nd computer on the network. I have tried changing channels, etc... and nothing works. I have tried downloading firmware and can't seem to figure out how ti install it. Any advice would be appreciated.

Enter the IP Address of the WAP54G in your browser. You should always do firmware upgrades with your WAP54G connected by a wired ethernet connection. The factory default IP Address is If you enabled the WAP54G as a DHCP client or assigned another static address, you will have to enter the correct address. You should be prompted for a password. The default password is "admin" in lowercase and without the quotes. If you changed the password, enter your password. After you have downloaded the firmware and unzipped it, select on the menu bar on the page that appears. Click the firmware upgrade control button and browse for the folder you unzipped the firmware into, by clicking the browse control button. Find the firmware and press the open control button. At this point you will be returned to the screen and click the upgrade control button. A progress bar will appear and once completed you will get a succesfully completion notification. Yo shoulkd wait at lease thirty seconds after the completion notification, before making any changes. You should reset the WAP54G to factory defaults and reconfigure the WAP54G.
