I searched first, and I couldn't find out where to determine which WAP54G I have.

There's a serial number and mac address sticker on the bottom of the unit and on the front it just says "WAP54G"

    Anyone know how to tell?

on the WRT54G you can surf to and it tells yout the version number. i dont know if this works on the WAP54G though

Also the other difference maybe in the PSUs

The older one use a 3.3 volt power supply and the newer ones
use a 12 volt power supply afaik

If it just says "WAP54G" it's probably a 1.0 (the one with the 7 leds). I beleave the other ones are named WAP54Gv1.1 and WAP54Gv2

The sticker on the bottom has the FCC-ID. If it says WAP54G it is a version 1.0, what follows the WAP54G identifies the version number, WAP54GV1.1 is version 1.1 and my WAP54G is version 2.0 and has a WAP54GV2 on the sticker. For more information, you can go to the FCC website: https://gullfoss2.fcc.gov/prod/oet/cf/eas/reports/GenericSearch.cfm

Put in Q87 or PKW for the prefix and do a generic search.

Those prefixes where assigned to Cisco-Linksys. Some re-branded products have other prefixes, but those two cover the majority of the Linksys Products.
