According to the Linksys documentation for the WAP54G it does not support WPA-PSK is it true? I was considering buying one and I want the extra security.

I am running 2 WAP54g's using WPA-PSK and seems to be working fine and when i try to scan the wireless signal and it shows as being encrypted with WPA... Linksys could not answer my question about that... same old answer "That function is not supported by linksys"

    Firmware 2.08 supports this (officially)

According to the version info on v2.08:

    Version 2.08, Jan 24, 2005
    - Adds WPA PSK support in Wireless Repeater mode

It supports WPA-PSK in everything except AP Client.

The WAP54G supports WPA-PSK in Access Point, Repeater and Bridgemoe with firmware version 2.08.5. It only does not in Access Point Client. It blocks you from using WPA-PSK in Access Point Client. LLinksys has finally updated its Support Web site to indicate that you are downloading the 2.08.
