    Hello all...

I have a Linksys BEFSX41 and 2 WAP54G's. One of the WAP54G's is in repeater mode. I also have 2 laptops, both running WPC54GS cards. Here is the problem...

Ever since I set up the second WAP54G, both laptops lose there connections once every 15-30 minutes. Sometimes, the only way to regain connection is to remove and insert the cards. Its getting to be a bit annoying. Both WAP54G's are running the HyperWAP firmware. Im starting to wonder if it is the firmware, the encryption (WPA-PSK), or the AP's themselves causing the problem. Any insight or suggestions will be GREATLY appreciated. The woman is starting to complain and my ears are starting to bleed .

    Thanks in advance!

I realize these aren't that insightful but my suggestions would be:

    1. Make sure you have the latest drivers for your wireless cards: link
    2. Reset the APs to default settings (hold reset button in for 30 sec) then reconfigure.
    3. Try using WEP for a day or to. (Since you feel the problem might be related to encryption)
    4. Consider testing the stock Linksys firmware to see if the problem is firmware specific.

    Good luck.
