    Hello there

Is it possible to extend the range of my WAP54G by setting up a second WAP54G in repeater mode so my wireless clients can connect in hard to reach places.

    Regards
    Joe.

Yes you can extend the range of your WAP54G by setting up a second WAP54G in repeater mode, you have to have at least firmware version 2.07 on both. If you hve an earlier firmware version you will have to update the firmware, To set the second WAP54G in repeater mode se the second WAP54G to the same SSID, channel and encryption. You have to go to the AP Mode screen in the WEB setup and select repeater mode with the MAC address of the first WAP54G and save the setting. If you have to update the firmware, do it only from a wired connection and you should set it to the default factory setting before you do the upgrade,

    How to

To prove that your WAP54G is working in repeater mode you can change the SSID of your AP that is beeing repeated. This way you will see if you connect to the original wap54g or the reapeated wap54g.
