    Router = Linksys WAP54G V.2

    Firmware Upgraded To = DDWRT V23 SP2

    ---

    Issue:

    The upgrade went fine, however when it prompts me for a user/password, I type in the required "login = root" , "password = admin" and it's telling me the password isn't correct?

    I cannot telnet into my router (as some people have posted to resolve) via putty. Connection is refused.

    I've also tried "holding the reset button 30 seconds" while the router is "on" and that didn't help.

    ---

    Can anyone help? It just seems to me the router needs a "reset" for the user/password information. Could be I'm not "resetting it properly."

    Very frusturating considering I can see the UI, but without a valid user/pass, this upgrade is useless! Thanks in advance for any assistance...

    You have to have the router power unplugged. Hold the reset button down while plugging in the power. Then count to 30 (I count to 40) while continuing to hold the reset button.

    Yep, I wasn't counting / being patient enough :)

    Issue resolved, thanks!
