I have a WAP54G V3. When I configured as AP Client, the wireless security cannot be turned on. When turned on at the Wireless Security tab, it get turned off automatically when you go into Basic Setup tab. Even if you don't go to Basic Setup tab by just exit from the Wireless Security tab. The WAP54G V3 did not save the security configuration. Any one have this same problem? Appearently this problem was resolved in firmware Linksys 2.08 for V2 WAP54G. I was advised by Linksys support to load in this 2.08 firmware and was assured that it was compatible with V3 box. As soon as I loaded in this 2.08 firmware in my V3 box it bricked. Had to return this bricked box (since it was still new) eo exchang for a new one. V3.04 or 3.05 firmware did not resolve this problem. I have been waiting for new firmware from Linksys for 2 months and nothing happen. Logged (twice) a problem with Linksys but no reply after the first respond on the next day.

I tryed using HyperWAP firmware but the same problem was still there. Any other firmware that changed the official one significantly that I could use?

Found that the AP Client need to be able to see the AP first before allow you to configure wireless security. If AP is not broadcasting it's SSID, or even the AP Client is not broadcasting it's own SSID, wireless security is unable to turn on.
