    I am using LinkSys WAP54G.Here are details:
    Firmware Version: 2005, Dec 28, ETSI, v3.05

    MAC Address: 00:18:F8:33:55:DE
    AP's IP Address:
    Subnet Mask:
    Default Gateway:

    Currently I am utilizing it as Wireless Repeater Mode(configured WRT54G Wired MAC)...
    but i dont know any advantage of doing this...anyways....
    When I hide the SSID, wireless clients disconnects itself from AP...but when i unhide the SSID....wireless clients connect again....furthermore, please tell me how can i set the username ...its blank..i have changed the password.
    how can i get rid of this glitch...
    please help...

    afaik you cannot set the username. as to hiding SSID, you may need to setup your Wireless clients to join a Wireless network without seeing the SSID. Some Wireless Client software will not allow this. HIding a SSID is ok but you cna still find hidden SSID's with Kismet so really there is no point.
