Warranty issues

Has anyone else heard that Linksys does not cover products under warranty if the damage is physical damage?

I purchased a USBBT100 bluetooth from amazon last year around November... and the little 1mm piece of plastic that hold the antenna at an angle broke yesterday. I called Linksys to have it replaced but they gave me the run around for about 40 minutes and finally declared that physical damage is not covered under the warranty.

I asked to be show where in the Warranty statement it says that but they were unable to point to that fact. After about 40 minutes of hold I had to hang up to go to a meeting.

Any ideas if this is in fact a true statement?

    Thanks.

lets put it another way. if you Break something, why should a firm pay for its replacement? 99% of normal warrantys do not cover accidental damage.

if you can prove beyong doubt the peice of hardware that is broken was of a weak design flaw, then you may have a chance, but you really ould be hard to prove you did not cause the issue in the first place.

when you bought the USBBT100 it should have awarranty card of some form of warranty statement. what does it say?
