I am having problems connecting to my NSLU2 (see my other thread) I am wondering how I can access the data on the hard drive that I had connected to the NSLU2 without the NSLU2, either by Mac (perferably) or by Windows, I want to back this data up incase my NSLU2 is toast.

Mac i dont know off hand, but Windows depending on the version you are running has a backup utility that is very robust. Once you create an initial backup you can schedule incremental backups that keep you up to date.

Sorry I think you misunderstand when I say backup, I mean I want to beable to read the data on the drive without the NSLU2 (because mine isn't working) and basically copy it to another drive, then I can reformat the drive the NSLU2 was using the put the data back on it so it can be read by my mac, then I am going to purchase another NAS unit like a Buffalo and attach the hard drive to that. So how I can I read the data on the NSLU2 formatted drive to get it off there?
