    Hi All,

i have a situation here which i hope someone could help. Currently, i have a BEFVP41 router at my China office and they are having a dynamic IP on their side. Here i'm having a RV082 which i running on a static IP. The problem is how to create a VPN tunnel from China to here as i've been trying all option available on the RV082 but it seems it doesn't work. Everytime i have to check on the IP which China is having an key in manually onto my RV082 in order to get the tunnel to be connected.

Is there any way i can do it without getting through what i'm doing now? Thanks

It will be necesary to use some sort of dynamic DNS service, for the RV082 to be able to get the proper BEFVP41 IP by itself. However, I did not use the BEFVP41 with the dynamic DNS, so far.

As SFor said, use the BEFVP41's built in dynamic IP updater with DynDns to keep your dynamic IP updated.

Then in your RV082 tunnel settings use:
    - Remote Security Gateway Type: IP Only
    - IP by DNS Resolved: host.dyndns.com
or what ever your dynamic host name ends up being.

I have an RV082 connected to two BEFVP41s that have Dynamic IPs.

Thanks for the assistant to fiat and Sfor. I had an issue with the BEFVP41 DDNS as it stated that DDNS server is currently closed. Are you able to enlighten me on that? and what actually had gone wrong?
