    Tomato: Tomato Firmware v1.28.7496 MIPSR2-Toastman-RT K26 Std on Linksys E4200 v1
    DD-WRT: v24-sp2 on Buffalo WHR-HP-GN

    Hello,

I have a need for WiFi along with cables (wifi is more for guests) on a corporate network. I have a main router that does everything, including DHCP. So, these routers behave as WiFi frontpoints to let users (and wireless printers) onto the network who get their IPs from the main router that these routers are connected to via cable. So far, both of them were separate points.. but now I want them to seem like one router with one SSID thereby increasing the WiFi coverage in the office. Since they're both in switch mode - I'm not sure what the process is like.

Even if they weren't in switch mode, I'm still not quite sure how I could do WDS between both of them. Some help would be appreciated.

    Thanks!

Most likely won't work, WDS mainly works between units that have the same chipset, your units do not. The E4200 is broadcom based, the WHR-HP-GN is an Atheros based unit. First line in the introduction:
