I have two WRT54GL routers I am trying to connect using the WDS feature in Tomato. I have configured it exactly per the FAQ (http://www.polarcloud.com/tomatofaq#how_do_i_use_wds). However, I still cannot get a connection when hooking up to the client router.

Here are the settings on my computer and Xbox:

    IP: 192.168.1.115
    Subnet: 255.255.255.0
    Gateway: 192.168.1.2 (client router IP)
    DNS: 192.168.1.1 (host router IP)

My issue is, the Xbox and computer are on the network, but I get DNS errors. I have also played around with setting the DNS to the client router IP (192.168.1.2), and I still have no luck.

Per the FAQ, I have set the client router's DNS settings to point to the host router.

    Any pointers?

    Thanks!

your default gateway should be your main router, not the client one :).

I am showing on the Tomato Device List for the host router, an entry for "wds0.49153" so I am guessing I have the link established correctly. It's just that no devices tied to the client router are able to get online. Any ideas?

I've also disabled all security to help with troubleshooting. Same SSIDs.

Fixed it! Thanks for the help on the gateway setting, also I had the incorrect wireless MAC for the client router settings. Thx!
