Now this has got me baffled.

1st wireless client, my notebook: 192.168.4.2 (static dhcp)
2nd wireless client, fonera running openwrt connected: 192.168.4.146 (dhcp)
3rd wireless client, fonera running openwrt connected: 192.168.4.108 (dhcp)

    1 can not ping 2 or 3
SSH into the router at 192.168.4.1, I can ping both 1, 2, and 3
2 can not ping 3 but can ping 1
3 can not pint 2 but can ping 1

I have tcpdump installed on 3 and I can see arp requests when router pings 3 but when 1 or 2 pings 3, I see no arp requests.

    WERID!!!

Are all devices on the same subnet mask? And what do you see if you run a packet sniffer on your laptop?

All devices are definitely on the same subnet because of the dhcp server giving out the address.

I didn't install a packet sniffer on my laptop yet.

Under "Advanced" / "Wireless", do you have "AP Isolation" enabled?

Also, my dhcp range is 192.168.4.100-149

There is no problem with my laptop being 192.168.4.2 right?

No, as long as your subnet mask is 255.255.255.0 so all the devices are looking at 192.168.4.x as being the local subnet.

I checked for AP isolation and it was disabled. I enabled it just to see and it didn't work still. I set it back to disable afterwards.
