    Hi,

I need to buy a new AP but I've read that the WEP has much more features than the WAP models. Are there any major differences between them except the integratet switch and the WAN port?

I am thinking about using them with a custom firmware and it seems that the WEP-Series is much more popularly that the WAP.

Will I get any any problems using the WEP as an "AP-only"-device?

    Thanks!

Sorry, what I meant was WRT54G vs WAP.
But it seems that I've found the answer myself... the WAP-Series has a much slower CPU than the WRT54.
