I'm hoping someone can help me with the setup of the Linksys Game adapter WGA54G. I'm trying to get it to work with an Xbox and so far no good. I did the adapter setup by the instructions and the setup Wizard said I had configured the adapter properly. (I should also note actually, that I strayed from the setup instructions only in plugging the adapter into the Linksys WRT54G broadband router instead of my PC as the instructions said..Was that the wrong thing to do?) When I plugged the adapter into the Xbox, it was recognized but still could not connect to any games.

I'm hoping that maybe someone who has successfully setup the WGA54G can help me along with a step by step so I can see where I am going wrong in my setup.

    Thanks much.

    Finally...

After many hard, frustrating hours, using every possible tactic known to wifi as we know it today (Including setting up a DMZ between the router and the GA) I have come to the conclusion that either the Linksys GA is not compatible with XBox as it claims, or it is just a plain ole piece of garbage.

The story does end happily however. While I was sleeping earlier today (I work nights) my fiance went back to Best Buy and bought the Microsoft XBox adapter. She comes home, plugs the adapter to the Xbox, inserts the CD into the machine and **VIOLA** within moments a strong, steady, signal connection was achived and the Xbox was connected to our network. Though, of course, I am very, very, happy that we finally have the connection, I am a little burned still by the 4-5 days of frustration and belief that I was not setup correctly. What burns me even more..possibly a lot more is that when I go in and look at the numbers that the Xbox adapter has been assigned...they are the SAME exact numbers that the GA adapter was using....URG!
