What about a RAM / flash upgrade?

    Hey,

perhaps it's a little bit crazy, but what about upgrading RAM / flash?

WRT54G v5.0 uses ISSI IS42S16400B-7T for RAM and 29LV160BTTC-90 MX for flash.
    WRT54G v4.0 uses Hynix 1x 522A HY5DU281622ET-J for RAM and Intel TE28F320 for flash.

I have looked up the Hynix and Intel chip and they're pretty cheap and easy to get in Germany. The Intel-chip is uses in a digital-receiver for TV and even the programmers are pretty easy to buy.

The chips are pin-compatible and since the BCM5352EKPB is the main CPU, they're equal in controlling.

So how about replacing the "small" devices for the big ones?
It's even possible to build in BIGGER ones than v4 :))

It's a lot of SMD, but it seems possible ... what do you think?

    Best,
    Tobias
