So I am/was having drop outs with my network. I was checking through some of the posts on here. I got into turn off 802.1X authentication and this is what the dialog box looks like.
So is it disabled or not usable or required? Any ideas? I'm using a Broadcom 54g Mini-PCI card on XP Home. Connecting to a Linksys WRT54G v1.1.

Are you using WPA encryption on your WLAN? The option to disable 802.1x Authentication is only available if you are using WEP. Authentication is requried for WPA to work.
