What exactly is satori/sveasoft?

Can someone link me to a simple page that tells me exactly what satori is, why I should use it over standard Linksys firmware etc.

I know it adds extra features but where can I read about all the cool things I can do with it?

I've had a look over the forums here for some answers but no one really talking about it at such a basic level.
