What happens when Remaining Lease Time turns 0

    My Cable Provider uses DHCP as WAN configuration. So what will happen if the Remaining Lease Time is 0.
    Does the Router automatically renew the the IP or will nothing happen, as long as the connection is OK?

    I think this will answer your question and explain why...
    basically what should happen is that a lease renewal should be sent and acknowledged by the Cable Modem.

    jep, looks like the Lease Time is extended every 45minutes..
    For some reason only my router recognizes this. When i had directly attached the modem to my computer the ipconfig /all just showed the old Lease End Time even if it was in the past already.
    I just switched from dd-wrt to tomato. i like it so far :)
