What router for 1gb connection?

Currently I have a 100 megabit fibre optic connection. Am running xp pro sp 2 & using a WRT54G with HyperWRT firmware. Not sure what ethernet card I have but am guessing it's a generic 100 mbs card.

Tomorrow my connection will be upgraded to 1 gb ps. What router & what ethernet card should I buy to optimize my bandwidth? Any recommendations re. firmware would also be much appreciated.

    Many thanks,

    TT.

How about the WRVS4400N or RVS4000?

and I'm sure you can find a Gigabit adapter on the same website.
