What sort of VPN is QuickVPN?

    Hello, as most of you know, Linksys offers the QuickVPN utility for linking the clients with many routers.

    As a VPN novice, i visited the OpenVPN project site.

    They write that the most popular VPN implementations are SSL, IPSec and PPTP/L2TP.

    Can somebody tell me what kind of these uses the QuickVPN client?

    It's IPSec, as far as I know.

    Yup. IPsec. It uses secure HTTP for all the authentication and negotiation of encryption parameters but the data mode connection is pure IPsec. Guess you could call it a hybrid.

    afaik it uses OpenSSL toolkit as well.
