after my WRT54G died on me.. i just bought a wrt54gs
i was using the wifibox firmware on my old one but with this one i dont know what to do :s

i narowed it down to wifibox or sveasoft alchemy

    but here are my questions

does wifibox work with the wrt54gS
    and
does sveasoft alchemy work? because i read a post about a disconnect issue when there is high throughput on the wireless network ( and this is not good :))

or does anybody have an alternative? the others seem a bit small ( too less functions )

    No.

This is not a firmware problem, but a hardware bug in some devices with new hardware version numbers (WRT54G >=2.2 and WRT54G >=1.1). So all firmware flavours are affected by this. The most recent Linksys firmware tries to fix this problem by overclocking the CPU of these devices.

DD-WRT - based on Alchemy with some new features (free).
Talisman - further development of Alchemy (commercial).
