What's the meaning of Broadcom "radio_pwrsave" capability?

Besides I've found inside fw's nvram table the key "radio_pwrsave_enable" set to zero (Tomato Shibby rev.112 @ Asus RT-N66U). What happens if I enable it?

On wireless clients the power saving options cause variable connection speed and dropped signal. Can't imagine anything good coming from enabling that option on a router. You're probably better off reducing transmission power to the minimum that maintains stable connections to your clients and/or using a power bar with a timer to shut it off completely if you're that concerned about power savings.
