When did load-balancing method change for RV042?

So, I am reading the manual, and it looks like there it describes that there are two ways to setup load-balancing of the links - automatic(intelligent) and manual. In the 1.3.7.9 beta that I am running, there is only one way to setup load-balancing(automatic), and there is ability to do protocol binding, which seemed to be absent from previous versions, as the user guide does not mention anything about protocol binding.

When did this whole thing change? I really like protocol binding, but I think having only one LB mode is silly, as I can't control how the traffic is being distributed. Also, my RV042 seems to be sending traffic through the link that is down(via Network Service Detection) when Load-Balance is selected. help?

this i would guess is a browser issue. either an anti virus program is blocking the page loading fully or some other setting in the browser is not fulling loading the page. when you select load balancing, a new part of the page appears with protocol binding, where you assign http, smtp, pop3 etc to an individual WAN port.

Not to hijack this thread... but

Is there a way to control wan1 / wan2 protocol binding by inbound vs outbound?

I want to have outbound assigned to wan2 port 80 and inbound assigned to wan1 port 80
