    Hi All,

So I'm working on this script and when I telnet to the router and run the script the debug data that I "echo" from the script shows up in the terminal window - just like I expect. When I copy the script to /jffs/ and start it from script_wanup where does the "echo"ed stuff go? I used to comment out the "echo" lines when I copied the script to /jffs/ and ran it from script_wanup, then I tried leaving them in and nothing seemed to get messed up. So, I do it that way now. Does it hurt anything to be "echo"ing strings to nowhere? Is there a way to see them even if the script is running from script_wanup?

    Thanks,
    Dan

Most likely, the output goes into the null device.
If you want to save it for later inspection, you may
redirect it to a temporary file:

    echo $variable > /path/to/file
