Where to buy a certain Hardware Version(?)

I've recently gotten stuck with a WRT54G, v4, which currently has not been verified to work with OpenWRT (it's in testing).

We want to deploy several 54g or gs units, but playing "hardware version roulette" at the local electronics store is no fun.

Is there an online or brick and mortar store that guarantees the hardware version of its linksys? FYI, I saw Circuit City's ad here--is this legit:
    http://www.circuitcity.com/ccd/productDetail.do?oid=69086&catOid=-12980

    Help would be appreciated.

let's put it this way...if you order it and it isn't a v2.1 you could b*tch and whine to circuit city about false advertising and possibly get one ;)

When I was shopping for a WRT54GS router last month at a Circuit City store I found versions 2.0, 2.1, and 3.0 on the shelf. I think the web site information is out of date; I doubt that you could depend on getting a version WRT54GS v2.1 by blindly placing an order.
